Suffering With Chronic Knee Pain?

Updated: Mar 25

OTHER THAN BACK PAIN, KNEE PAIN IS ONE OF THE MOST COMMON ISSUES WE SEE AT DYNAMIC OSTEOPATHS & REGENERATIVE MEDICINE.

We are seeing many different types of knee pain conditions ranging from early onset arthritis to activity related injury. Our aim is to preserve joint health and slow the progression of degenerative disease. Thus, using a combination of conservative management and regenerative medicine.

Suffering With Chronic Knee Pain?

SYMPTOMS OF KNEE PAIN

The symptoms associated with knee pain will vary depending on what the causes may be. You may experience:

- local pain

- swelling

- stiffness

- Instability

- giving way

- locking

- clicking

WHAT IS CAUSING MY KNEE PAIN?

There are many different causes of knee pain. Some of the most common ones we see with our patients in Solihull and Birmingham include:

- mild to moderate cases of osteoarthritis

- ACL injury

- ligament Sprain

- meniscus tear

- patellar tendinitis

- cartilage injury

- knee bursitis

- iliotibial band syndrome

- chondromalacia patella

- rheumatoid arthritis/gout

To determine what specifically is causing your knee pain, we will perform a physical assessment to find out possible predisposing factors which may have led to or triggered the pain. We’ll assess overall joint mobility and biomechanics along with the entire knee to access for pain, swelling, range of motion, stability/laxity, and functional capabilities.

In most case our physical assessment of the knee will give us a good idea of what is causing the pain but in some cases scans may be needed for diagnostic confirmation.

At Dynamic Osteopaths & Regenerative Medicine, our Solihull and Birmingham knee specialists are committed to relieving your pain and healing your knee injury, at the same time as dealing with your predisposing factors. It is the objective to ensure you make a full return to your active lifestyle.

In common practice many doctors will focus on temporary pain-relief measures like cortisone injections or invasive surgery, but we believe in a more innovative way to naturally restore knee function at the same time as reducing pain. We know that our patients want long-lasting relief, not just a quick fix, and that’s exactly what we strive to deliver.

Dynamic Osteopaths & Regenerative Medicine are primarily focused on conservative treatment and minimally invasive alternative procedures that can potentially improve your symptoms and repair local tissue damage in your knee without the long healing and rehabilitation period. These treatments may include effective biological treatments like platelet rich plasma (PRP) knee injections and hyaluronic acid. We believe that these approaches offer an effective minimally invasive method for treating knee pain. High amounts of patients are now opting for these forms of treatments for the knee pain with ongoing positive results.
